About
The honest version of who you’re hiring.
Vantik is one experienced marketer — with a small amount of human help behind the scenes and AI doing real work alongside. That’s not the fine print. That’s the model.
For several years, this business was called Ottawa Marketing Guys — a conventional digital marketing agency doing SEO, Google Ads, web design, and social campaigns for small businesses. That work built everything Vantik knows.
Two real things changed. I’m now based primarily in Toronto, so a city-specific name stopped fitting. And AI went from a curiosity to doing a meaningful share of the actual delivery work here — drafting, research, optimization, reporting — which “Marketing Guys” didn’t begin to describe. Vantik is the name that fits both changes: geography-neutral, and pointed forward.
What didn’t change: this is still a marketing company. AI is the vehicle, not the identity. The way I think about it is a rocketship: your goal is the destination, the tools decide how fast you get there — and someone still has to fly the thing.

The team, plainly
One person, on every account
I run every engagement personally. When you call the number on this site, I answer it. Years of hands-on work in search, ads, web, and social — and, more recently, a lot of deliberate practice putting AI to work on all of it.
A small supporting cast
A little trusted human help handles admin — email triage, content review. No bench of account managers, no “team” page of stock photos. If that changes, this page will say so.
Genuinely part of the team
AI here isn’t a buzzword in a proposal — it drafts, researches, monitors, and optimizes every day, supervised by a human who checks its work. It’s why an operation this size can deliver at the pace it does. I think of it as a teammate, and I mean that literally enough to put it on the team list.

Why AI, why now
Elevate and work alongside your business — not replace it.
I’m genuinely excited about what AI can do for small businesses — and I know a lot of owners find it somewhere between confusing and threatening. Both reactions are reasonable. The tools are moving fast, the hype is loud, and most of the advice comes from people selling something.
My aim is to be the approachable first step: someone who uses this stuff daily on real client work, will tell you honestly where it helps and where it doesn’t, and won’t pretend to total mastery — I’m still learning too, and anyone in this field who claims otherwise is selling you something. What I offer is a working head start, not a finished map.
If that sounds like the kind of help you’d actually use, let’s talk. And if you want to see the thinking in practice first, start with the writing or the track record.
